I was a member of Victoria Baptist Church in Eastbourne between the years of 1989 and 1992, where Dr Ray Brown was the pastor.
It was my first time living away from home, as a student nurse.
I loved Rays teaching ministry, and the church he led was vibrant.
Ray would always joke with me saying that I was from the wrong side of the Pennines, being a Yorkshire lass. He had a lovely sense of humour, and it was great to belong to such a warm and welcoming church being so far away from home.
I loved Rays teaching ministry so much, that I invited him to speak at my wedding years later, and he very graciously accepted.
Looking forward to seeing you again Ray one day.
